What’s the best plan if I want to lose weight?
All plans will increase your aerobic fitness and help you burn extra calories. Rather than concerning yourself with weight loss, we encourage you to chase performance by following a structured plan for your goal event or discipline. As you do this, you will increase your ability to tolerate training stress. This means you will be training more, and that means more calories burned in a sustainable, healthy way.
When should I start training for my goal event?
A typical training progression takes 28 weeks. If you have the time to do so, starting about 28 weeks before your goal event is a good place to start. If you have more or less than 28 weeks until your priority event, you can jump into training. Plan Builder will create a training plan that accommodates your time frame.

You will test your FTP at the beginning of each training block to keep your workouts in line with your fitness. Your workouts will be hard enough to be challenging, but not so much that you cannot complete them.
