Love the Pod cast, had trainer road for 2 years , but really really only started training since i retired in December. I am 55 and my main Goals for this Year 2020 are to lose 10kg (started at 80kg) ( Have lost 5 already) and increase my FTP to 250 , started at 180 and currently 227. I am an Audax ultra distance rider, i have done Paris -Brest- Paris in 2007. My question is, i have noticed after 4months of proper structure training including some rides outside and a week training in Spain that my heart rate has dropped despite me increasing my FTP value. Even Overs/Unders i am still a bit down on my max heart rate. Should i just add 2 watts per week to my FTP value as it appears the regular training is having an impact weekly. Love trainer road, will use throughout the Year. Keep up the good Pod stuff. Stay Safe 🙂

Thanks!
great podcast TR-Team! I really enjoyed it, especially Amber’s deepdive on swimming dryland training. That said, we won’t be swimming in pools for a while. One sweet spot Easy Button request within Training Plan would be a ‘Delete All Swimming’ workouts for each week we continue in our social distancing / everything is closed lifestyle.
