What to do after a bail?

So today I had to bail 60 minutes into Warlow (Family commitments, not fitness or fatigue related). My next workout isn’t until Tuesday.

What do I do?

Do I just wait till Tuesday?
Do I add a workout for Sunday?
Do I add a workout later today?
If I add a workout today or tomorrow, am I just looking for that “missing TSS” (My 60 minutes left me 40 short of what was planned)? Am I looking for the missing time? Or should I aim for a solid 60 minutes since it’s a new day / new workout?

Thanks for your insights.

I had a similar thing happen to me a few weeks ago. I got through the first 2 sets of Taylor before having to quit to tend to my kids. I ended up coming back and completing the workout later in the day as my time allowed. It was not ideal, but that’s life. If I hadn’t been able to complete it later that day, I would have just waited until my next workout. Best wishes.

Lots to consider with this. How do you normally feel with your next Tuesday workout? If you normally feel good and ready, and you feel good now, get one in if you can.

What to do depends on when you are doing it and what you want out of it. Do you have a Go-To workout that you enjoy when you have extra time? Do that one. (Mine seems to be Carson; Nate’s seems to be Baxter). You can do 30-60 minutes of Warlow -2 (a 60 min version). Or something like Baxter-2 for some pedaling. Or another endurance ride. Or Dans for a nice recovery ride.

Not doing anything until Tuesday is not a big deal either. Take the extra recovery and hit Tuesday fresher. Personally, I am at a point in my plan that I am so tired from the weekend training that I would welcome the break.

Probably not what you wanted to hear. But you got most of the workout in. Enjoy your family time.

Yep - I would repeat Warlow if your not to fatigued or go for Warlow-2 if you are or you lack time - you’ve got Monday off and if your on LV you can’t afford to be skipping the workouts on your plan.

60 minutes is still a good workout. I wouldn’t lose any sleep over it.

However, I do like to add volume to LV. I’d normally have a 120min sweetspot workout scheduled for tomorrow or an unstructured outdoor ride. In your situation I’d be inclined to just repeating Warlow.
