Haha, Go Big Orange. I’d be a better cyclist if I didn’t give every Saturday in the fall away to game day activities.
If you live in Knoxville or next time you’re here, that photo is from Northshore Brasserie out west. If you’ve not been there it is worth a shot - it’s our go to for a solid date night without driving into downtown
the free Mother Road Tower Station I got in Phoenix on Friday night, and the free Lumberyard Brewing Bright Angel that I got on Saturday night in Flagstaff. Both are Flagstaff breweries. The Bright Angel was the winner.
Founders Mortal Bloom. It’s expensive, and fruit and citrus heavy. Not too bad.
A little too much grapefruit, but not overpowering like many ‘tropical’ IPAs. The New Belgium Tropical Torpedo was a really good one, and Magic Hat’s Electric Peel was 5 stars. There are far too many, IMO, that are WAY TOO grapefruit forward. Like that’s about all you taste.
Haven’t seen the former in years, and won’t see the later ever again, sadly…
Mortal Bloom:
Mortal Bloom reminds us that you can find what you’re looking for in truly unusual places. This radiantly beautiful hazy IPA will wrap your tastebuds with intense citrus and tropical notes of pineapple and mango. The intense flavor is balanced by a soft mouthfeel, making Mortal Bloom incredibly flavorful and aromatic without any harsh aftertaste. Embrace the unconventional with Mortal Bloom.
