What Beer are you enjoying?

We had a $10 stocking stuffer exchange last night, had to buy for 11 peeps. One of my nephews got me a tall can Hydro Flask and a local beer:

Had that this afternoon with prime rib :+1::yum:

I dunno if Lagunitas qualifies as a “local beer” for you any more since they are now HQ’d in Chicago.:crazy_face:

If I’m only having one, it better be a good one…

Playing some catch-up with missed beers from the Illinois Brewers Advent Calendar….a solid barleywine option from the other night. It was a boozer at 10% ABV.

I still have some other beers form the calendar that I haven’t posted yet……will catch up on that shortly.

Chouffe gnomes on the chalice?

That is correct! I don’t usually mismatch my glass with my beer, but it seemed the right shape for a barleywine.

My pop’s selections - he did the best he could based on his memories of our beer history. He did a great job since he’s getting up there in age and his idea of craft beer is Michelob in the dark bottles circa the 70’s. I’m just happy he is still around.
Cheers everyone!

Going on 15 months sober, some of these NA offerings are starting to get really good.

I’ve started seeing Athletic Brewing pop up at completely non-athletic places (like restaurants around town.) Just a really solid NA beer. I had a few samples and don’t think I’d notice if I didn’t know. Really well made.

Haha, Go Big Orange. I’d be a better cyclist if I didn’t give every Saturday in the fall away to game day activities.

If you live in Knoxville or next time you’re here, that photo is from Northshore Brasserie out west. If you’ve not been there it is worth a shot - it’s our go to for a solid date night without driving into downtown
