Understanding Ramp Test IF

Hi all

I’m sure this must’ve been asked before but I did a search and couldn’t find the answer.

On my most recent ramp test, I had an IF of 0.86. My previous tests have been 0.9 and 0.91.

Should I read anything in to this? Is it suggesting I didn’t got as hard as I could’ve done? I got an FTP rise so I’m certainly not complaining, but just hope to understand the numbers a bit more.

Thanks

I would ignore the IF from the Ramp Test.

Agreed. There is not much to learn as it is subject to starting with an FTP this is most likely not accurate to your current level (assuming that you don’t hit the same exact FTP upon conclusion).

Thanks. I guess it makes sense then, that the test with the biggest FTP increase (this one) had the lowest IF
