What workout did you do today? (2020, part 1)

Did a ramp test on Monday and lost a couple watts down from 275 to 273. Since I did Tunnabora right afterwards at 105%, I figured I’d manually bump my FTP to 280 watts.

Had a bad night’s sleep but decided to do Eclipse -3 today. I bumped It up to 102% on the second interval and tagged on 220 watts for 30 minutes after the workout, RPE was 6/10. I’m really wondering if the ramp test is not for me.

Endurance tonight

Been a while since I have not finished a whole workout but tired from the past couple of days. All good though and will get my weekly tss.

Lamarck was not as bad as I thought it would be. Not looking forward to Leconte on Friday, though…

Intensive Aerobic, lots of 400W+ time

Beast! :smiling_imp:

that is freaking awesome @GregElwell good luck with the training. I know Coach Chad has mentioned several times over the years of pod cast that preparation for these events are challenging on the next level. Mixing up the efforts will help you reach your goal the TT plan has some great work outs that Coach Chad has science to back that make you more resilient at SS/threshold and would carry over to your plan especially in the build/specialty phase.

That’s hardcore… Congrats!

380 FTP :flushed:
I’m going to pretend you weigh 100+kg, right?

Scheduled: 2x20 + 1x16 tempo

Massive sidewall blowout as I turned off the crappy levee road along Sacramento River. Two tire boots not enough to repair, called kiddo #1 to pick me up. it was going so well in the 83F / 28C warm evening and lovely 8mph gusting to 16mph headwind, was really looking forward to doing some nice tempo at 200W with a tailwind

Once you’ve knocked this out, Leconte will seem like a walk in the park. Those slight variations make the interval time seem to pass quicker. :+1:

Despite having to resort to only doing every second microburst (after the first few sets of four) TR still suggests I did more TSS and roughly the IF that the workout suggested… Not sure whether to count this as completed or not.
That was definitely a toughie.

Ebbetts Back to base

Felt comfortable, enjoyed the workout and no knee after effects
It’s nice to be back on a plan

I didn’t re test like planned on Tuesday as doing 70hr work weeks had me not feeling it. Did this today and dang it felt super easy. Might bump the ftp up 1-2% and see how things go.

As I’m not currently on plan, I thought I’d have a bit of fun. (Type A fun).

First time trying one of these ‘kitchen sink’ type workouts and it was a blast. It was tough, but I’d definitely do it again :+1:

Hell yes, this looks fun.

Got me wondering what it would be like in reverse… don’t think I’d fare well in that situation

Workout creator, make it happen.

See this is where I’m not sure whether my min/maxer video-gaming brain helps or hurts: I couldn’t help doing the math and I knew if I did a minute at 267 I’d crack 200. I did almost exactly that, and when the next interval ticked over my legs stopped like I hit a wall.

Tangentially, is there really no Extend warmup button and no intensity adjustment for the ramp, or is that an Android quirk?

Ebbets for ssb2 as plan builder thinks I should do. This is also part of my transition to pre work workouts. Went surprisingly well. Presumably the combination of going to bed at a decent time and starting straight into carbs during the warmup
