Weight of empty 16g CO2

A bit of an odd request - does anyone have a used CO2 cartridge, preferably a 16g one? I want to get the weight of an empty one to check my supply to see if any are duds on the assumption that a full one is ~16g heavier than an empty one.

Back story, yesterday I had planned a nice 75km gravel ride from a trailhead an hour west of home. 8km in, tire goes soft and the tubeless “may” have done its job but lost too much to ride as is. Throw in first spare TPU tube and inflate no issues (other than the sticky sealant mess). When I stop at the midway turn around, notice the tire is soft again and within 5 minutes is dead flat. Must have just happened getting to the park. Pull out second spare tube/CO2. Use the remaining from the first one to partially inflate, check the bead etc. Go to finish filling it with the second, nothing, no hiss, didn’t leak from the adapter, just nothing. Fuss a bit to make sure that the cartridge actually pierced, trying not to let it empty if that was the case. Nope. Finally take it off, cartridge is pierced but had to be empty. Fuck. Nothing close by in the little town I’m in and have to make the call for my wife to come pick me up, 120Km from home.

Got a response in another forum. So this can be a PSA for those carrying CO2 and want to check before getting stuck like I did.

Empty - 43g

Full - 59g

16 gm is the net weight of the CO2 in the cartridge. Weigh a full one, subtract 16gm, and that’s the empty weight.
