VeloViewer Infographic 2022

The last few years we have had a VeloViewer Inforgraphic thread, VeloViewer Infrographic 2020 and VeloViewer Infrographic 2021

Let me start this years.

Someone already started a annual review thread and some have shared the same graphic there.

I may merge these to keep from having parallel topics.

ETA: leaving this as a VG only thread and the other for broader discussion.

That thread is a visual mess. This would be scrolling thru VeloViewer infographics.

Copy that, sounds good to me.

hmmm, all 10 hours of indoor riding were done on my bike computer and don’t show up as virtual rides.

Cook Islands!

Last ride was in July, nothing on the trainer this year.

Unfortunately, I think 2023 will be looking quite different.

All inside on Zwift and TR except 938 miles and 69 hours across 40 outside rides.

On the chart above red is sickness, green is vacation, and blue represents other times off of the bike (usually for lengthy work trips). Great increase in fitness through the first part of polarized base, then vacation knocked fitness down a bit that i never really recovered from, at least graphically. Business trips followed by vacation knocked fitness down again, then reduced daily / weekly time on the bike in August and September to take care of some life events. Been battling a couple rounds of sickness throughout the off season. Didn’t get any formal events in this year, but made a concerted effort to ride outside more and did one century. Hoping for even more time outside (I’m slowly acquiring the right kit to not be only a warm weather cyclist), a handful of centuries, and a couple of events in 2023. Have a likely change in jobs this spring / summer that will be more demanding so will need to figure that out, though. Overall, pleased with the year, though, despite the obstacles.

The year started beautifully, but come summer I was dealt a lot of lemons (change of job, work travel, …) and then I entered a long cycle of illness and recovery (like many this year).

All in all I’m proud with the way I dealt with it all…

If I count my real world miles apparently I could have been in Australia

If I include my virtual miles I get a little further, to NZ.

I’m seriously impressed with some of the hours ridden here. I wish I had the time to get that many hours on the bike. Someday.
