Set a target FTP

Is it possible to set a target FTP when I do a Trainer planning?
For example: I have 200 FTP and I would like get a + 10% FTP (220 FTP) in two mounth of training.

Thank you

I do not believe that’s a feature. But if you can increase your FTP by 10% in two months…#godmode

Results in 2months - are based on what you have done to get to where you are now. If you are currently doing 1x 1hr ride per week mostly unstructured and at 200w… maybe you could ramp up pretty quickly to 3hrs per week just by sprinkling in a couple more 20-40min rides also, plus a bit of structure. Sure 10% maybe. But if you are already at 8hrs a week with good structured plan for many

But the training plan either way would be, if you select the Training plan of 1st General Fitness , Type of riding, and then Select Increasing FTP and then duration.. it will get you from where you are now, to where you can be in 2months! (or 3mo or longer) It will suggest training volume and layout based on your past training. There are some settings to adjust as well on the right (web).

With good consistent training, not doing too much, good recovery and fueling… you’ll get there eventually… maybe 6weeks… maybe 12wks… who knows. Put in the work, with time it will come… can’t force 10% by doing MORE in less then the time your body needs to make the gains.

Thank you very much!

In fact in june I was about 220 FTP, now Trainerroad estimates my FTP in only 175… I think it is some low and hope to rise FTP how it was last spring!

I hope that Trainer Road helps me in this goal!

Same boat as me ! Was at 338w May31st then hit smashed my face in a bit on a ride. :-/ recovered and did some triage base/long distance stuff in july before my A race of the year… manually trained and slowly lowered my FTP by feel.

I figured I was at 325-320… signed up monday and it said 308 suggested LOL erp. Said meh, I got this! 315 , we’ll compromise.

Yes, just give it time to see where you’re at. Typically the onboarding is pretty conservative, wants to ensure you don’t burn out or have a poor experience in the first few weeks!
