Quitting TR. Someone reply when they push an update

Thanks - I did test this and it wasn’t an issue. Also its consistently just the trainer that drops and all other devices are fine.

Thanks @larry - my Ant+ Rage is subsiding. Is it possible to just put out a old build and do a fresh install of that old build to try and limit the time frame of changes?

I’m willing to help troubleshoot (despite my nasty post I do love TR and the podcast)

Do you have a garage door opener? It would use RF…

A smart garage door opener? That would use RF and WiFi…

I don’t have either. But interference from them would only occur while they are operational.

Glad to hear you can cross that off the list of possibilities.

(And btw, that’s not true :upside_down_face:)

@bobmac sorry to hear about the dropouts after the last couple of releases! Do you mind hanging tight while we sort this out, then letting me know how the next app release works for you? Hopefully we can work some magic and clear up anything that could be causing connection issues on our end.

@GThomas oh, great to hear! I just meant I wasn’t able to find it based on the username you use here on the forum. Our Support team will get you taken care of.

Hey @berto2cj, no worries! We understand the frustration you’ve been experiencing, since we also train and haaaaate anything that gets in the way of doing a workout. So it means a lot to hear you still like TR and our podcast. :hugs: Brennan should be in contact with you over email, and if you’re willing to stick with us while we iron out these issues, we’ll get you an installer as soon as we have a fix. We don’t usually send out old versions and builds since auto-updates will get you back on the latest version of TR, so we prefer moving forward and releasing updated ones instead. We’ll probably ask you to try a Beta version once one is ready, but we’ll let you know via email. Thanks so much for your patience and I want to restate just how important this is to us!

Sure, I can wait! I haven’t filed anything with support as it is not a serious issue - it’s intermittent and not stopping me from doing any prescribed workouts. I was actually thinking about buying a USB extension for my antenna to shorten the 2-3feet distance to ~6inches as I wasn’t sure whether there was a TR software issue. Thanks.

Just FYI, I’m seeing the same issues, but on a Macbook pro (kickr 1st gen, power matching a power2max)

If you need testers, i’m happy to be a guinea pig too. Mines still playing up.

I haven’t updated my ticket as I’ve been keeping an eye on here so i can see the updates

Hi all!

I wanted to let everyone know that we have an update, now available, on our Beta App. With this update, we aim to correct a lot of the current issues that we have surrounding ANT+. So, it should provide the fix that many of you are looking for!

You can find the link to our Beta Program below:

Our main focus with these updates are to ensure that everyone’s devices are connecting and working within TR as smoothly as possible. So, we ask that, if any one is using the newest Beta version of TR please provide us with any feedback you can on whether this helped, or not.

We want to know what is working, what may not be working, and what training devices you are using. That way, we can better understand where the issues may lie, and how best to improve on them going forward.

So, please let me know how things work out!

Lastly, thank you for all your patience and understanding as we work through this issue. We should be able to get things back up and running normally very soon!

Anyone give it a go? I’m going to try tonight.

I’m trying it tonight as well, it was way too nice outside yesterday to be on the trainer!

I did Antelope last night on the non-beta TR, then did beginning of antelope again using TR beta, and it definitely seemed easier to maintain prescribed power. Mac laptop with ant+ dongle, Wahoo Kickr 18, Assioma duo pedals, power match from TR to trainer, everything connected via ant+ .

I have downloaded the Beta app onto my Win10 laptop. I connected the Kickr, Garmin HRM and Vectors via ANT+. I did ‘Davis’ as a test this afternoon and it worked perfectly. Fingers crossed that has sorted it.

I did pettit-1 & it seemed a lot better.

The kickr did put the brake on once & there was one point where the pedals went light & it overshot a little on the return. However the issues didn’t appear to be as frequent or as severe.

I’ll be sticking with the beta for the next few rides.

Antelope -4 for me. It was flawless. Thanks for fixing!

What I do not understand is how such a serious issue got past your quality control.
Did this issue affect the main app. If so how was it not picked up in the beta testing?

Is everyone here on a Kickr?

I am on a Neo using ANT+ and a MacBook Pro. I have not seen this issue, ever.

There is the occasional random “Workout Paused” and then it resumes, but it does not affect the workout. It’s for a split second. I feel no change in the ERG. If I did not see the message, I would not know anything happened at all. Furthermore, this does not happen every ride.

On a Flux S on Win10 and ANT+, never saw a problem.

I had the “workout paused” thing happen a few times a couple of days ago but not happend since
