I did my scheduled 45 minute workout today (Saturday). On iOS it says no adaptations required after I finish. I get an email telling me that tomorrow is a Yellow Day (which was already scheduled Zone 2), but then I also get an email telling me it’s done adapations. So I look, and the adaptation is for today. It’s added another 45 minute workout. So I complete it. Then it turns tomorrow from a Yellow Day into a Red Day, and adds another 45 minute workout today. This keeps happening. Is it just going to add workouts until I collapse today? And if it came at the expense of turning other days into non-riding days–which it did–I’m not sure it’s intended. What’s happening here? How many of these 45 minute (at 87-92 IF) sessions am I actually supposed to do, and why aren’t they on the calendar initially and then adapted, rather than being added after I complete the existing workout? I saw another thread that says this can be a bug in Zwift, but these were completed on the standalone TR iOS app. Thanks.
Hey @brentneal, this is definitely a bug!
I will bring this to the team and let you know what we find.
In the meantime just complete the scheduled workout for the day and if you get an extra added for that day ignore it.
Note: was the Ishika workout you completed scheduled by the plan for that given day?
Yes, Ishika was the original scheduled workout. Upon completing that it said there was an adaptation and added Prater -4. When I finished Prater -4, it added Gealcharn. Thanks for your response.
awesome, thank you for letting me know!
Hey @brentneal so we figured out what happened!
The theory for why this occurred is because you completed the inside version of those workouts while it was originally scheduled as the Outside variant. Therefore we weren’t making a match with the planned activity, and it would subsequently get adapted as a result of them completing the inside variant.
In the future, you should switch the workout from outside to inside before completing it inside.
I did convert it from an outside activity to inside before starting and completing it. I did the same the prior week as well.
let me double check on this then!
Occurred to me this AM as well. Completed Bukit on Zwift. After completion I got email declaring tomorrow yellow and then Starr was added to my calendar for today. Definitely seems to be a bug but wanted to bring it to teams attention. Thanks!
It seems like the system is adding extra workouts on its own, and that doesn’t sound right. You might want to reach out to support to see if it’s a glitch in the plan updates.
I’ve had this happen a few times recently too. Do a workout, accept adaptation and then get another one for the same day. I never did the extra workout though, I just deleted it. If I swap an indoor to outdoor (or viceversa) I always change it on the website first.
Hey guys!
@brentneal, @ryguy4810 and @gmarriott you are all experiencing bugs we’re currently workout on fixing. Let me explain the two different bugs:
- AT Auto-Schedules Follow-Up Workout After Zwift Workout
Upon completion of a TrainerRoad workout within the Zwift environment, the system triggers an automated event that schedules a second TrainerRoad workout on the user’s calendar for the same day.
Workaround: Completed a workout on Zwift and skipped the Post Workout Survey in Zwift. Open up TR and complete the Survey Response in TR. This results in not getting a second workout scheduled for the same day.
- Completed Indoor TR Workouts Being Adapted
After completing an indoor TrainerRoad workout within the TR app , adaptations are pending for that completed workout, trying to change it to something else. This makes it seem like TR is recommending the athlete should do two workouts in one day, which should not be the case.
Workaround: Ignore the second scheduled workout.
