Dialed Health Review

I’m not a subscriber anymore but got an email last week. It seemed like a password reset for trainherioc. Maybe check your spam folder?

I have not received a train heroic username and password yet. Checked everywhere. Emailed them and no response.

Not sure if you already solved this, but I received this in email today

If you have any questions about your account - like missing login codes or billing/refund issues - the fastest way to get help is by reaching out directly to TrainHeroic’s support team:

support@trainheroic.com

They have a dedicated team ready to handle all account-related issues during Mountain Standard Time business hours.

This is the best way to make sure your issue gets resolved quickly and accurately.

I got that too! I’d sent multiple emails with no response. So this is good but not great customer service in my mind.

Try submitting your help request through this avenue if you haven’t yet; https://support.trainheroic.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

this will probably ensure your request will populate as a ticket in ZenDesk for the TrainHeroic CS team (which mind you is much smaller than the TP team who handles, TP, WKO, and TPV)

Just in case anyone else is having difficulty. I emailed and got their AI assistant who eventually sent me to a human. THey had no record I was a member. I got all excited I was getting free DH, but alas, when I sent them a screenshot of my credit card bill, they set me up with the new app.

Personally, I have to say I don’t think it’s any better. Maybe I’m used to TR, but I wish it offered some sort of personalization based on previous workouts. “last time you did 20lbs, try 22” or something.

TH doesn’t add any interesting/groundbreaking functionality apart from the timer (super useful for programs with 20s/45s isometrics).. but it fixes a lot of things that were as flaky as hell in the Android app - all the videos work, no more jumping over steps, more calendar management (still not as good as TR though).

But as a metric system user I am a little disappointed that there’s no conversion for distances. I actually had to use the internet to convert 200ft to m :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

I would assume the TH app has a database backend (like TP) so that you can look back in time and see e. g. how much you lifted in one particular exercise.

That’s rough, I would have expected that past experience with TP would have told them the basics of localization.

It will be better than not doing strength training but he definitely falls in the category of “cyclist out of his area of expertise” imo. Or I guess I should say, his area of expertise is calisthenics, not the sort of heavy lifting that the “strength training –> faster” studies use. The rare pic I see of him with a barbell is loaded with very little weight, odd for a dude who is marketing a strength problem. His IG is filled with exotic KB stuff and calisthenics. Which is better than not doing anything and perhaps good for mobility and injury prevention… it’s just far from optimal for strength and hypertrophy, especially when time is limited. I’ve seen some of the actual routines and my biggest critique is that it is really really hard to properly load your lower body with DBs and KBs. Your legs are already used to carrying your weight around and then some.

There’s a learning curve to proper form so you can move heavy weights around safely and train closer to failure. DH kinda sidesteps that issue by staying away from the real heavy stuff. So there’s your trade off. Less strength training stimulus, but also less to worry about. And there’s a type of cyclist that’s going to appeal to.

Here’s my program if you don’t want spend any money. (Fwiw, I was a strength athlete prior to cycling.)
