My whole family were pretty heavily involved in endurance sport growing up, so I always thought that was fairly unremarkable.
A while back my partner and I stayed at my parent’s house for a couple of months, and he was apparently quite intrigued by the outfits, the amount of pasta and coffee consumed on an average weeknight, and exactly how long a “2 hour bike ride” can really stretch to- to the point of providing some rather David Attenborough-esque commentary.
For the people that have FTP over 400W:

If you saw a bike blazing by at warp speed, what would it look like?
The top of the wheels are moving forward at 2x the speed of the bicycle - but they can’t if the bike is moving at the speed of light. Just that part fries my brain if I try to think about light-speed cycling.
Things that slow down time:
- VO2max intervals
TRUTH!
VO2max intervals
I did Spencer +2 earlier this week and it was truly awful. 3 minutes have never felt so long.
VO2max intervals
And yet while they slow down time, they also speed up time during the rest interval. We need to get a physicist on this!
The rate of time alteration may be like a sine wave, that follows the progression of intervals.
With rounding, one can actually go back in time… Great scott…
My toughts about shimano:
You must be a Campagnolobro #respekmuheritage
Have you tried those levers? they are pure sex from a function standpoint. Hands down, the most comfortable out there! Everyone I’ve talked to that has tried them says Shimano just needs to make that their lever for everything.
