Any metal heads here? 🤘 🤘 🤘 🤘 🤘 🤘

You’re all too heavy for me. Current rotation consists of (incl. but not limited to):

Trivium
Metallica
Lamb of God
Bury Tomorrow
Killswitch Engage
Paradise Lost
Jinjer
etc.

In no particular order etc.

I dig it. Thanks for reminding me about this. I had listened to it a couple times when it came out and forgot about it.

Dude yes, Eternal Champion rules and they share members with Iron Age. I posted a song of theirs a couple posts above yours. Check em out if you haven’t already!

Null - Lore of a Sleeping Forest I’ve been listening to it for the last couple of months. Their new album is also very good but more of a folk metal.

Has anyone mentioned “Mother” with Danzig? During the four last minutes on a FTP test, this is the shit!

I’m pretty particular about metal but have just discovered Animals as Leaders. They’re amazing musicians, and probably push more into progressive metal/rock but damn they’re good.

Go check out Sion!
They have 2 songs so far and the full album comes out later this month.
Singer is one of the best voices in metal (Howard Jones from Killswitch Engage, Light the torch) and the guitar is played by Jared Dines, youtuber guitarist extraordinaire.

It’s heavy, it’s nice. Well produced so far. Some good ramp test songs right there ahahah

Oh well, I somehow botched the message bumping the thread. Anyway, it is metal season, and was just about to post a couple cuts by Converge, Black Breath, Trap Them and Nails that have propelled my trainer sessions lately.

Guess I quite like Kurt Ballou’s soundz.

I wouldn’t call myself the biggest metal head out there. But my hair is down to my mid back in a pony tail, so I am somewhat committed. I usually take a break from my commute podcasts for my Metal Monday channel on Pandora. Today is the day. Probably more of the 80’s-90’s metal; Iron Maiden, Megadeth, Metallica (PRE load, lost me there), Pantera, etc.

Somehow I heard Static-X come on at the climbing gym the other day and was lip syncing as my GF gave me funny looks (I can’t sing for shit, so I don’t). The name of the climbing gym?

I’m a big metalcore fan and would highly recommend checking out August Burns Red. Meddler is one of my favorite songs.

Other good bands include We Came as Romans, Bless the Fall, I See Stars, I Prevail and Wage War.

Check out Bow Down by I Prevail to get that RPE lower as well.

I had to hit repeat on Bow Down the other day to make it through my last 5 min Vo2 interval :metal: Hell of a tune and did the job :muscle:

Used to play guitar in a black metal band. Listened to Emperor, Mayhem, Ulver amongst others.

Did like Soilwork too, but that’s not really metal is it?

Might be Prog but Prog metal and they’re pretty darn talented.

Dillinger, didn’t expect someone else to be liking that in here! Pretty awesome to find “like minded” people though
I mean getting some good heavy stuff during the ramp test is key

Gasoline by I Prevail is a guaranteed way to bring RPE down. I’ve listened to a few metalcore playlists on Spotify but now I have new names to search up, thanks!
