A week of travel, how to adjust plan for "no bike"?

I’m traveling and won’t have access to a bike, but I’d like to do my runs and swims from my tri plan. What’s the best way to approach this?

  • Set an annotation on the bike days?
  • Simply ignore the bike days and count them as missed workouts?
  • Delete bike workouts, adjust swim/runs accordingly?

I’m pretty early into my plan so it doesn’t matter too much, but I’m curious what the best approach is for how TR makes it’s plan adjustments.

If you are staying somewhere with a gym you could swap the bike workouts for strength training and even bring your cleats to add some specificity to the lower leg muscles.

Any of those options should work… Ignoring the bike days would require the least amount of work.

Setting annotations (which we recently began calling Training Adjustments and Notes) could be helpful for your own records when looking back at your plan.

In any case, AT will get you sorted once you’re back from the travel!
