Bike plan - swap threshold session for triathlon bike leg?

I skipped my Thursday threshold workout, I have a triathlon A race on Sunday but I’m on a bike plan so the plan doesn’t adapt to it. Also, it’s not really an A race, but that’s by the by.

For the AI I don’t want it to think I’m skipping workout, so I want my race effort aligned to the threshold workout. I’ll be racing just below threshold for about an hour.

  • Ignore the threshold workout?
  • Pin a workout like Unicorn, set to Outside?
  • Swap it for solo ride?
  • Delete the tri race bike leg?

What I have done is simply not do the workout, then do the unstructured ride. It seems the AI just looks at what’s been done then adapts going forward from there. If it works for you as it has for me, the day after your triathlon, your plan should be appropriately adapted.

FYI

I can’t associate it with the Solo ride, the drop down for associating the ride only shows three items, the swim bike and run - perhaps a minor bug, there’s no reason to associated a ride with a swim or run obvs

What I’ve seen said in the past was that rides should only be associated with workouts if the ride was an attempted to perform that workout. So, as I understand it, unstructured Solo or Group rides should not be associated with a workout.
