Zwift Workout Bug

I am presently in the middle of a vacation, and this has been noted in my TR calendar since before I left. However, this morning I am seeing in Zwift Companion that TR has pushed a workout to me for today:

And, interestingly, my TR calendar not only still shows me as on vacation, but also shows a yellow day today (likely due to some vacation activities yesterday).

Any thoughts as to what’s happened here?

(You have permission to look at my data.)

I may be wrong and will be happy to get corrected, but I believe TR pushes your TrainNow workout of the day to Zwift if you don’t have anything scheduled.

On days when I am home and have a rest day on my calendar (i.e. no planned activity, but also no vacation on the calendar) I don’t get anything pushed to Zwift. And, even if TR is pushing a Train Now work out to Zwift, the one showing in Zwift today is not the Train Now workout showing in TR. :man_shrugging:

Have you seen any similar situations since starting this thread?

I have not. Maybe some one-off issue?

Maybe. :man_shrugging:

I haven’t been able to get anywhere on this one, but please reach out if you notice it again.

Hi @eddie, I had this happen too. I had travel scheduled in TR from July 5 through 13 with a training plan starting on July 15. Here’s what my schedule looks like in the Zwift companion app:

Beech -1 is the only workout that was visible to me in TR (I skipped it in favour of a race).

You can see on my TR calendar that I completed a workout in Zwift on July 17, but that’s missing from my Zwift schedule.

Hope this helps :crossed_fingers:

Out of curiosity, do you have an active training plan, which may have included those workouts, and you added this Time Off into the plan?

If so, these workouts may just be what would have been scheduled without the time off and the scheduling TR does in Zwift just ignores this feature (intentionally or not)

In my case July 7 through 12 would’ve been a deload week, so only had 4 scheduled endurance workouts before I added the travel.

This is a possibility, I suppose, but it seems odd that it would be just one day out of (in my case) 22 days.

Turns out I might be having a similar bug, just the Captain Hindsight version:

Bit of context: I’m not on a TR training plan, but have puzzled together my own from various AI workouts for this month. Typical setup for the last weeks was workouts every day except Thursday and Sunday, which were just left empty for Recovery.

Just now I opened the Planner page in the Companion app on my up-to-date iPhone and found out I had a Pioneer-3 scheduled by TR on Thursday (TRs default workout for me when TrainNow recommends endurance and defaults to 60min). My TR calendar knows nothing of this workout.

@eddie not sure if you’re still following this, but wanted to pull you back in, as it appears at least a couple of others may be having a similar issue.

Yeah, I’m still following along.

I already reported @laje65535’s case to the team, and I’m reporting @martenk’s now. :+1:

It sounds like we’ve figured out what might be going on here with those workouts.

Hopefully we can get a fix in place soon, but for now, just ignore any workouts you might see in the Companion app if you don’t have anything scheduled in TR. :+1:
