Hi,
I received an email telling me, that tomorrow is a yellow day. This was the first time today. I think, this is a nice idea, but the email was actually send on the corresponding day (00:03), rendering the tomorrow useless. I guess this has something to do with the different timezones TR and I am located in. Trainerroad being in GMT-8 and me in GMT+1. It would be great, if this process could take into account the timezone of the athlete from the profile and send the earlier.
Although thinking it through, midnight might be perfect, but then it should refer to today. What do you think?
Ralf
I have also received the email, and I find it unnecessary. We have access to the app and the web, where you can easily keep track. I don’t think there is a need to receive an email as well.
Do you guys use the zwift integration, I wonder if it’s for the users who use zwift and might not necessarily be looking at the tr app anymore, or it’s just brand new for everyone.
Yes, true. I connected my TR to Zwift.
Thanks a lot. This interface has changed quite a bit since my last visit. I turned them all off.
I got one, too, and also find it unnecessary/unhelpful. My inbox is a disaster and isn’t a reliable comms channel for this sort of notification. A push notification when the algorithm is run or the morning of the yellow/red day as a reminder would be better. However, 95% of the time I’m looking at the TR app after a workout when the yellow/red day is detected, so a notification is unnecessary.
The flow might’ve been set up to address that hole, but it was activated for everyone.
Thanks for the heads up! We are looking into a fix for this now.
Email is activated, but i never received any email, oh well…
I unsubscribed
Got one at 1:30 central time today. Funny.
Report spam - someone is trying to make you slower. Don’t fall for it man!
Yes first one received after I linked to Zwift
I liked getting the email
Me too. Got my red day email after my ride finished and saw it before I looked in to the ride data or anything. Definitely useful, especially after outdoor rides.
No clue whether I had deactivated it previously or whether due to something TR activated it for all users again. Definitely haven’t received such mails before and just instantly turned it off in the settings (maybe again after I did it in the instant they introduced this feature). Not just because I don’t want to clutter this stuff my mail with because it’s also pretty arbitrary and seems to work only somewhat right if you are a TR exemplary student which I’m most definitely not.
I’m not connected to Zwift and got my first yellow day email today. I get a yellow day after just about every workout in my plan but this is my first yellow email.
I got one but haven’t connected my TR account to zwift. I guess I’ll need to go in and unsubscribe.
Edited to add: I found the note strange because it told me that if I were planning to ride I should only plan on an endurance ride, and I actually had a short endurance ride on the calendar. So I was extra-surprised at getting the email.
Same here, also didn’t connect TR to Zwifr. These email notifications started coming in out of sudden, which I actually don’t mind receiving.
Since like 2 days these don’t come anymore. Which is probably related to TR team fixing something on their end.
I checked my email notifications settings and they’re all. 2 questions then:
- should I expect to receive such emails having all settings ON?
- yesterday I triggered my red day for today. Should I expect similar email to come also for red days?
Thanks
