Where is Nate Pearson?

Haven’t seen Nate on the podcast for quite a while, really miss his contribution. Not sure how active he has been on the forum.

You could hope that he is busy finishing latest TR features…but could just be an illusion.

CEO work isn’t trivial and he’s got a family.

Plus, if I understand correctly, he seems to have moved to LA. Perhaps he is working remotely (more often)?

I think he’s waiting until he gets a sweet Magnum PI moustache until he comes back. He had a sweet ‘stache last time I saw him on the podcast, but it wasn’t up to Magnum’s level yet. I always look for the most logical answer and that’s clearly it!

Yes, Saw him post on Strava today, good to see the CEO putting in some workouts from time to time.

truthfully, i find it interesting that he’s not using the app more. From the few times he has been on the podcast in the past couple years, he seems to have lost interest in cycling.

Think he shifted into weight lifting. Wouldn’t be shocked if he got into Hyrox or something.

Kind of funny but have been listening to Empirical Cycling Pod recently and Kolie Moore basically lifts weights and doesn’t ride a ton either

My understanding is that his crashes, especially those that resulted in concussions, have left their marks and convinced him to find a safer outlet for physical exercise.

I still hold up hope that this might result in the integration of strength training in TR.

+1 for strength training integration! :folded_hands: It may just be the algorithms trained on my interests, but I’m seeing cycling specific resistance training content everywhere. It works be clutch if TR could capitalize on the movement.

Someome should get him a trainer and introduce him tot TR and zwift

Who knows what he has on his plate right now, with running TR and if he may have some personal matters going on.

It always put a smile on my face when I see a Strava up load.

Last time I checked I think he was killing it in Sweet spot PL.

I dont care whether he rides bikes or not, qe all gotta do what feels best for hobbies/fitness

I do care he is no longer on the podcast though. He made it really special, funny, and emotive. Although it’s still great now and Jonathon does a brilliant job, and the guests, especially Hannah, are also fab, it is often very straightlaced, very professional and VERY focused around top riders (including Jonathan who is miles away from being a normal rider, even if he isn’t a pro). It is very serious. I’m sure some people love that, but I miss the Nate, Ivy, Jonathan and Chad banter

Maybe he got a girlfriend. Seen many a good man disappear from the friend group this way.

I hope that whenever the latest TR update that Mr Lee keeps talking about, that Nate is there to talk about it on the podcast.

I agree, I do miss the old podcast days with Ivy, Chad, Nate and Mr Lee.

Kolie suffered a pretty severe hip injury a few years ago which makes extended saddle time not terribly enjoyable, and shifted focus entirely to track sprinting (hence the lifting focus) a while ago, but I don’t believe he does all that much of that any longer. Not sure.

Don’t forget about Amber!

that was a great combo

It would be great to have a few more in-studio podcasts. Nothing beats the real time interactions.
