@Jonathan has been doing a great job with the podcast and rotating in a lots of great guests like Tobin and Alexey has been great. They each have their unique perspectives on things and its made for some great episodes. Hannah has been outstanding and her science based insight coupled with her own experiences has been next level.
I do miss @Nate_Pearson on the podcast though. Nate is incredibly insightful and often picks up on things that might otherwise go unnoticed. There was an episode about a year ago or so with Hannah, Jonathan and Nate and I remember Nate circling back to comments Hannah was making and highlighting important things. If you go back and listen to his Leadville episodes form 2018 he was really ahead of the curve in terms of his prep and nutrition for the event. Everybody is doing the things now that he recommended in 2018 (high carb, caffeine, etc), but in 2018 it was definitely not the standard yet. He also said after the race that he thought a full suspension dropbar mountain bike would be the way to go for that course and it took until 2025 for that to be fully adopted by the pro’s.
In my personal opinion, this also applies to where he sees TR (and others like it going) vis-a-vis coaches, he said coaches will utilize ML-enabled software to select workouts in order to avoid busywork and focus on the things that only coaches can do.
Just a comment for anyone who hasn’t been here for multiple years. The TR folks don’t appreciate when we speculate on their personal lives, so be cautious, considerate, and respectful when discussing this kind of topic. I think it’s fair to say we miss Nate and the old feel of the team, etc., but once you veer into their personal lives, it’s considered going too far.
