That felt better. Rode at 94% for the whole workout. This let me complete all drills and achieve a level of hard comfort. Tried toast with honey 0.5hrs before and fueled with date coconut rolls during. Feel good. I was going to ride outside but it is pissing down.
Pretty hard with the 15w jump a week back but manageable. Hardest bit was not falling off the bike when YouTube started playing XCO racing. Just following the way the bike cam view moved had me leaning all over the shop!
Nice and steady this morning followed by a 7.5 mile run off the bike
When I have these trophies how do I actually see them?
Not quite Elephants +1/4:
I couldn’t do it, It was too hot. Two fans and ice down my back were insufficient. These only get longer in the second half of build so I’m a lil’ concerned.
You got four solid efforts in. I’m sure Coach Chad would tell you that you’ll benefit for your work. Plus, you didn’t give up. Mental game is strong ![]()
Wright Peak -1 for the first time today. It was tough going having not spent this length of time at SS before, but managed to see it through to the end (although, I admit to having a back spin minute during the two recovery intervals). This is the first time I’ve really had to mentally tough out a workout and felt like I might need to throw in the towel a couple of times. Just an outdoor session for tomorrow, then a week of recovery workouts before I’ve gotten to the end of a 12 week SSMVB1 and SSHVB2 for the first time. Looking forward to the next Ramp Test ![]()
61.5 miles zone 2/3 - bit of tempo in the second half - averaged close to 21 mph - amazing what some latex tubes, Campagnolo Eurus wheels, GP5000’'s and a new Ridley Helium X bike weighing 7kg does for your speed …that was my lockdown retail therapy and it certainly did the job of putting a smile on my face! ![]()
These are the PB for points across your power curve. If you look at the power curve chart, and hover over the lines, you’ll see today’s date and value for each point you achieved PB.
Today was Ramp Test day. A couple of days early after SSB2 but I’m happy as I went from 286 to 307 ![]()

Now I’m starting a couple of weeks of a tailored build before heading to the Alps for some big hills.
Indoor endurance today

also check your power meter reading intervals, mine is set to 3 sec but is still fairly choppy
Thanks - I will do that!
Uff… Hard couple of days.
Yesterday started with an “easy” 70 minutes run. It was ok. My hr drifted to z3 at the end and my legs felt flat. But overall a good run considering the rest of the week.
Then right after the run a swim wo. It was ok. My legs were cramping, so I cut the cool down and some of the kicking drills at the end.
Then today I did spruce knob. There is something with wo above 200w for me. I see them scheduled and I get intimidated. This was was not easy, because my legs feel like a bag of bricks, but it was fine. Hope things get better with time.
Now tomorrow I have a 3 hr ride out, followed by a 30 minutes run. Hope weather hold up early.
Scott Peak -1
Small 10km hike with other half around Romsley, easy going, very little height gain…
Followed later by Scott peak -1. Just an 30 minute opener, keep the legs awake.
Plan on a 45 minute opener tomorrow, ramp assessment on Monday ![]()
Guh.
This one almost got me! ![]()
8x 4min; 25 mins of TiZ. ![]()
Had Brasted +2 sched but subbed this one in. I might be over the short/shorts, time to go long.
Happy with that. Climbing cad (70) in last block for a bit of specificity. Last big workout on SSBMV2 before recovery week then SPBMV. It’s an awesome feeling when you do these rides at SS that used to be above your threshold, 8-9 weeks ago. Thankyou TrainerRoad.
