I did move it to 103% for the last set of 5 but it threw me out of my rhythm (cadence) and I struggled at 10w higher so put it back to 100%.
Maybe if I’d done them all at 102-103% I’d have been ok?

Everything doesn’t need to be perfect. If you pass everything it means you ain’t getting challenged enough and will not get the adaptation you want or need. I think it’s always better to be working towards a goal at times you have fail to progress
Thank you!!!
Ebbetts today. First workout since a 30 watt FTP bump (~17%) and I was redlining pretty good by the end!
Thanks. Yeah I think I may run the 20 minute test next time around. I can honestly say that I pedaled to failure on the ramp test, I ran my cadence down to about 60 RPM and couldn’t bring the pedal over one more revolution.

Mount Deborah + 1 for me today - Log In to TrainerRoad
I thought it was going to be a bit easier than it actually turned out to be. It wasn’t hard but just a bit of a wakeup call. Maybe my legs were still sore from yesterday’s KOM hunting
Even did a bit of foam rolling afterwards on my quads!
I’m in the second half of Short Power Build MV and did Dade +1 today. That was pretty tough…really wanted to dial back the intensity but resisted and powered through.
No cycling today. Just
Trail run with intervals this morning, (rTSS =45)
Then
A swim this evening (sTSS = 40)
1h10 running in the woods
Geiger
Dropped signal on the first interval and HR strap acting up badly. I’ve been saving my good one for my runs, think I’ve another spare floating around somewhere though. Bit wrecked coming to the end of it. Definitely ran too hard yesterday, was having trouble sticking to my zones for my base run.
So on Tuesday I did my ramp test after finishing General Build Mid Volume. Had a 5w increase, stuck a couple of big weeks (for me) in the last two weeks of general build and my Whoop band has been showing low recovery scores this week.
Yesterday I stuck an extra 30 mins on my recovery ride and tonight had Ebbetts. I can’t believe how easy it felt. I don’t remember it being that easy in the past, hit all my intervals, calibrated power meter beforehand as usual. I’m thinking I’ll see how weekend workouts feel and maybe retest next week in case my test this week wasn’t the best. My only other thought was I’ve got used to longer workouts through General Build and only had shorter sessions this week. It’s the low Whoop recovery scores that are throwing me off. Anyone else had similar experiences with Ebbetts?
Outdoor run today between rain showers. Probably get in a little recovery ride tonight for 45-1hr if I can.
All of this traditional base riding is helping my running.
Snuck out before rain storms for an HOUR OF POWER (insert maniacal laughter…)
Anyway, 207w for the hour and 215 watts for the first 30 min. Corners and traffic and such sucked out a few watts from the AP but a nice solid ride.
Averaged over 20 MPH for the hour which is always a nice number.

Geiger for me as part of SSBLV:
Hard work. Felt like quitting after the first interval but decided to hunker down/shelter in place. Definitely tired at the end.
Either the battery in my heart rate monitor is almost empty, or my heart is stopping beating for extended intervals. But the battery is a Duracell!
Junction -1 this is a killer workout. I was not sure if i was going to finish this BUT i loaded the carbs and managed to smash it BOOM!
So happy with that.
This is one of those dreaded workouts for me—I don’t do well with suprathreshold intervals of 6+ minutes, and with only 2:50 recovery in between them, this one is rough. The last time I tried it I failed miserably (June of 2019) and that has been on my mind since. Today, though? Today I made this thing my bitch.
Well, close to my bitch. A couple of 15-20 backspins in the last pair of recovery sections and one completely subconscious backspin with 2:30 left in the last interval got me through. All in all, I feel like I’ve been intimidated by this one for nothing. So take that shit, Elephants.
Like @DazzaW1, I went carb-heavy this AM to get ready. I think it worked out well.
