What workout did you do today? (2018/2019)

Outdoor spin with my brother and a friend. A little lumpy (I noticed 15% at one point…)

Whew, what a day. The wife decided that I was going to help her in the morning, so missed my group ride. No worries, I’ll just do a workout while she’s out running errands. Marcus Baker looks fun!

Well, your errands didn’t take near as long as you said they were going to! Sure, I can feed the kids! /end workout.
An hour and a half later, out she goes to see a friend, takes the kids with her, and I have the house to myself again. Let’s try this again…

Much better. What a fun day.

Tallac +3. This one is always tough for me, particularly the last 5 min of the fourth interval and into the fifth. Made it cleanly through this time!

Did this workout after converting our spare room into my pain cave

@kurt.braeckel as all my events are done for the year, I’m doing the SSBB1 low volume. This allows me to get to the gym. My body is desiring V02, so I’ll be throwing a V02 max in. Are the low plans enough to build FTP? I’m thinking throwing in a V02 will be beneficial on the low volume plan

Longfellow, a 4 hour endurance ride for me last night, four weeks out from my IM race.

I’ve done plenty of 4 and 4.5 hour rides on the trainer, but this I’ve seemed to drag on forever. I’m quite proud of myself for pushing through and getting the job done. I double checked the actual time on my watch a few times, just to make sure TR wasn’t running slow!!

@GregH I tip my cap to you, sir! 2 hours is my attention span, and I’m ready to be done. You’re a stud

I wish it were true, but in all honestly it’s just doing endurance sport for twenty years or so has increased my boredom threshold to an unholy level (excluding yesterday, of course!!)

Palisade today.

Ouch.

Same here, was tough and had to lessen the intensity by -2%.

Saturday I took the Power Meter off my bike (not really, just didn’t put in a new battery) and went for a nice long endurance ride with some teammates

Sunday I did a fasted Warren first thing in the morning. First hour was miserable but I settled in and felt fine the rest of the way.

Bluebell this evening. After failing Taylor-2 last week, I was a little apprehensive, but I do better with longer recoveries (even when the efforts are longer) and went in fully charged. Ace’d it. Wanted a little extra time at the end to finish the show I was watching, so I used the cool down extender and added 10 minutes.

Another rainy day tomorrow, Jepson here I come.

Ansell Adams+4 for me. Really enjoyed myself with this one. Solid workout

My fan in my pain cave sucks. I’ve put up with it for two years (not kidding). Finally got a very high output fan, and I’m able to generate more power. Anyway, had to bump up workout intensity on Taylor-2 to 3% on the last interval

3 hrs at Seiler Zone 1. Entering the second phase of polarized training. Some pulse drift in the last 30 min. Did this one fasted with only water.

Taper week so I opted for Diamond -5. Wow! This 30 minute session doesn’t mess about!

My trainer tried to snap my legs off, twice, with resistance drops but I made it through, just…

6x15min sweet spot, 3min reco.

Really enjoyed that one.

Got a weird calibration number before this ride and rpe was higher than usual. Leads me to think these may have actually been closer to ftp :open_mouth:

Rogers +2:

This felt way harder than Stevens +3 two weeks ago. Temperatures back up today and the cooling unit broke (sort of, it works fine while it drips all over the floor), but this time I knew what was happening and just kept going.

BAIRD + 2. The 2nd set of intervals were the toughest, the third set i found some energy and motored along!!

Ouch. I’d die of boredom before the end.
