Just watched, Least Expected Day : Inside the Movistar Team 2019 documentary on Netflix and really enjoyed it. Also watching some NorCal Cycling videos on YouTube… good stuff!
I have watched all the Wallander stuff - not the UK stuff the Swedish version but never read any of the books…have started binge watching Spooks as well as I never watched it in the past and the BBC I player has the whole lot on it!
Hmmm… 1) Bingeing on COVID news, both for necessary info and as a fascinated scientist 2) Chipping off house projects 3) bass fishing 4) rewatching Ozark, Bloodline, and other Netflix favorites 5) starting work-at-home an hour late and knocking off an hour early to accommodate 1-4
Bit of running, Reading the “Wheel of time” series by Robert Jordan - at the end of book 2 - only 12 more to go! - PS4 - Horizon Zero Dawn at present - going in to teach for a couple of hours 2x week - bit of working from home…pretending I’m 25 again even though I’m nearly 52! …and of course loads of z2 biking - might add an extra short VO2 max session this pm - somebody mentioned tt might be back in the UK …
I love seeing the folks using this strange time to stay productive. I’m trying to do the same for my physical and mental healths’ sake.
I, like many others, have also been working on core and overall strength on top of the bike, but I got myself a fun new project to start this last weekend.
It only took 1200 miles, 27 hours, and 5 stitches, but I got myself this cool old pop up camper from the 60s that I’m going to restore.
Oh, I also just got a titanium frame to build up a new gravel bike. Pretty stoked on that too!
Been working from home since mid-March. In the office twice a week now. So schedule has not changed, no “what am I gonna do” moment here… my commute is short, so I didn’t even gain there.
Funny, during the first few weeks of lockdown, all the golf courses here shut down. And then non-golfers took over — family picnics, frisbeers, power walkers, etc. It was crazy. Courses had to put up big signs and public announcements reminding people that the courses were still private property and not to be used as a free for all. Didn’t work at all. Sure, probably ruined a few greens but still, bad PR.
Riding (leaning more outdoors now)
Summer school - I’m taking a couple of classes for a career change, they keep me busy.
Still working full time just remote
Occasional strength workouts
Indoor soccer
Planning next weekend’s outdoor ride
Being a slave to my dog’s demands
My SO had surgery and is basically crippled for several weeks so I’ve had to do a lot of the chores around the house. I’m nearing burn out, so I’m glad there’s a long holiday weekend coming up so I can take a true day off.
Two different tools for different jobs. Hard to get an LP to have that out of phase 2/4 sound and if you are in 1/3/5 the ability to buck the hum generally makes the LP the better choice. But there are great players that are loyal to each. I happen to own about the same #’s of both but for the music I play I’m more of an LP fan.
