The out workout only show on my garmin . but not upload to my wahoo bolt?
I add myself to the list of folks having trouble with uploading.
I can’t upload to Strava/TP via wifi anymore. I have to connect the phone and then it gets synced with Strava/TP. Used to work for years but it stopped a few weeks ago.
Also had some firmware update issues in the last few months. Not sure if this is related.
I find that things break right around the time Wahoo sends an update. I swear, there is more harm than good in them, generally. It’s such a bummer, my Garmin 520’s just worked, except for live tracking. Garmin’s version of that is just pathetic. My Bolt now seems to be working ok but if Garmin had decent live tracking, I’d be using a 530 & my Bolt would’ve met it’s end under a 5lb hammer.
Mine just stopped uploading to Strava last week. Has anyone gotten past this yet?
I went on my first outside ride in ages and had the same issue. Downloading the latest update and then deauthorising/reauthorising strava fixed the issue for me.
Edit: this worked for me to manually sync the ride, as it had already taken place when it de-/re-authorised and am yet to ride outside again so I’m not sure if it will automatically sync yet.
Back to having sync issues from Bolt → Phone after last update. Also a bit bored of having to forget & reconnect every time an update takes place.
I miss the days when the bolt just worked.
Looks like I’m back in business with reauthorization.
One other weird thing is the TR outside workouts show up around this time of day, but not first thing in the morning when I ride. No idea why. Maybe @Bryce can chime in on this?
Just curious… was this the first reauthorization since it was first setup? Or have you tried it several times in the last few months and it keeps breaking after a few syncs?
This is the only one in the past 4 years or whatever I’ve had it.
I’ve had issues as well. Repairing the phone seems to do the trick though.

It’s a little strange for me too. My scenario is I go down to the garage to get the bike ready (pump tires, etc). When I turn on the Wahoo Bolt to check for updates and calibrate the PM, the planned workout doesn’t pop up for selection. I then turn the Bolt off to go and finish getting ready. When I come back to go, the planned workout pops up for selection when I power up the Bolt again. ![]()
I’ve never had a workout automatically show up in the bolt, but I turn it on right before I’m about to head out. Perhaps it relies on doing a “sync” first? You could test by going to the routes and hitting sync when you first power up. I only ever bother to do that when I have new routes that I want to load.
To do outdoor workouts, I’ve always just launched the mobile elemnt app (android), go to workouts, swipe to refresh (because it’s always empty at first), and then I can pick the workout. Pops up immediately on the bolt since it’s paired.
Took their latest firmware update from June 30… now I can’t even manually upload. Thanks Wahoo.
I’ve been canceling the update each time it comes up. Sounds like I need to keep that practice up for a while yet. Sorry for all you guys who are burned right now. ![]()
Ride data is on device. Was able to copy it off and upload it manually. The entire reason wahoo computers were better was the software… and they just completely dropped the ball. Kinda disappointing.
Ugh. Good to hear. Look forward to tomorrow’s ride and continued frustration. Did you also get the latest elemnt app updates as well today?
I can’t use my angi sensor because it throws disconnect errors across the lower third of the screen every 1 minute. Then I stop and the elemnt app is saying it’s been disconnected from the notification service. At least the anger at my head unit is making me go faster.
Everything looked fine once I pulled the file directly off the device. The iOS app wasn’t even rendering the ride, so I had thought it had just eaten it at first. Just wahoo things at this point. Keep this up for another month and I might jump ship to an 830.
Same. All of these new issues coupled with the assioma average power issues are probably the final nail in the coffin for me.
