I did that. Clicking the upload button in the app is completely unresponsive. Restarted the app, no change. Restarted the phone, no change.
Yes.
Bummer, mine was unreliable all of a sudden in february and that took care of it. It’s worked perfectly since then including updates etc.
There have been a lot of things broken recently on iOS specifically.
I can’t help with iOS flog, if that’s actually the issue. Do you have and android-something unit you can try? If you’ve gotten all the rides off, a Factory Reset on the unit would be brilliant (write down your screen layouts). Since the wahoo’s can sync directly via wifi, I would really think the mobile app shouldn’t matter, except you need it to setup the strava credentials initially.
Just took a look at the app updates and Wahoo is one of the updates;
I didn’t crank up my Bolt today so I guess I’ll have to decide tomorrow whether to cancel the firmware update. Decisions, decisions …
Are the sync issues resolved? I was just about to replace my ageing but robust Garmin 800.
Even with the new updates on the app and firmware, I didn’t have any issues yesterday.
No issues at all from me with my Bolt, (UK based) over the last 2 weeks. Uploaded OK to Starva, TrainerRoad and TrainingPeaks.
Mine seems back to normal
Mine worked today after the latest update, so…
I’ll test mine tonight - I just did the recent patch
Even with all updates, my Bolt continues to fail. In use, ANT devices randomly disconnect. All will connect at start, then suddenly HR, power, cadence, and rear facing radar all go blank. They slowly come back one by one. This happens about 7 times per ride, with no apparent cause. The radar disappearance is especially problematic, and dangerous.
Also, twice now the Bolt has failed to upload outdoor rides to the Wahoo element app (and subsequently other 3rd party apps - like TrainerRoad). It uploads part of the data, not complete. The partial data exists on the Wahoo Element app (& other apps), but details are all lost. The data file remains on the Bolt itself, but I can’t find via Wahoo a way to manually re-upload from the Bolt itself, nor is there a way apparent on the device. So I am stuck in effect losing ride data randomly, and this has happened 2X in the last month. Below are pics showing a July 4 lost ride, where data is on the Bolt, but not fully uploaded. The July 2 ride also seen was fully uploaded. Very frustrating.
Have you gotten in contact with their support? Seems like something else is going wrong with your unit.
It may be worth trying:
1 - force quit Wahoo Elemnt app on phone
2 - delete uploaded ride with missing data from strava & any other 3rd party sites
3 - Open Wahoo Elemnt app
4 - Goto History page
5 - open details of workout where was an issue
(If the details are incomplete then try the force quit and reopen again and if that fails on the summary for the ride press and hold and from pop up select delete and resync (make sure Bolt is on) - do not just delete ride
6 - once ride is showing go to upload (top right share icon) from ride details
7 - ride will probably show as uploaded but press on strava and on pop up select upload workout or reupload etc
8 - repeat for any other 3rd party sites
Note if you didn’t delete the original problematic upload on strava then the new attempt won’t show
If these don’t work / ride details do not show on app (step 5) after a couple of force quits then may be worth trying a forget and repair
- forget bolt on Wahoo Elemnt app
- unpair phone on Bolt
- manually delete bolt Bluetooth in settings on phone (missing this out causes issues)
Reboot both
Set up / pair and see if ride then syncs
So my uploads are happening now after the latest update, but the Bluetooth connection to my phone keeps dropping. I am literally holding the unit in my hand and Bluetooth keeps disconnecting and reconnecting every 30 seconds to few minutes. This seems to go on endlessly. Now I have to close out the Wahoo app while riding so I don’t keep getting warning messages from Wahoo that its not longer sending notifications from my phone.
Have you tried the unpair and re-pair inc the delete of BT in settings. - it used to be quite common after updates that I had to do the unpair / repair to get past disconnections
Thanks all for the ideas. I did today submit a Wahoo support ticket. My sync issues continue despite Wahoo’s firmware updates, so in fairness to Wahoo I need to work their process.
what do you mean and how do you do it?
Forget in Bluetooth do you mean? I just noticed I had 3 Wahoo Bolt’s in my Bluetooth’s settings even though I’ve only ever had and connected 1 device. I’ve hit “Forget Device” now on all of them.
