Unable to calibrate smart trainer (says bluetooth and Ant+ are off)

I have a strange problem. I can do the workout as usual but when I click to calibrate the trainer I just get a black screen with the message saying bluetooth /ant+ not connected.
Bluetooth is on, as I have checked, and I am at a loss what to do next, as I cant switch bluetooth on by clicking the boxes on screen as they wont allow me to.
I have done all the updates when prompted, and everything else in the app is working fine.
Any ideas

Very similar to my issues which I’m working through with support.

My bled112 dongle shows as off but has all my devices counted just to the left. Occasionally it’ll show as on if ant+ is on but you can’t select anything. Support are working the options so might want to drop them an email.

What trainer?

Hey there @Lydiagould,

Sorry to hear that you’re having issues calibrating.

It looks like you’re on a Saris trainer. These are really nice, but we have had issues with their proprietary software not being able to calibrate through the TrainerRoad app in the past. I’d recommend that you try using their Saris Utility app to calibrate your trainer. I’ve shared a link for it below. It wouldn’t hurt to check for a firmware update once you have the app as well.

Let me know if this helps! I’d be happy to chat some more if need be to get things sorted out for you. :slightly_smiling_face:

Hey Eddie,
Thankyou for your advice! I have now got the app installed and will have a go this evening .
Hopefully all will be fine, but will let you know if I have problems
