Training going backwards help

Can someone help 58 year old been on tr 5 months now started with sweet spot mid volume on fifth week sustained build went to low volume been slowly getting worse just come off recovery week my heart rate has been around 160/170 max my last ramp test heart rate jump to 205 came to a complete stop workout today Washington +4 only got through one interval hr 175 legs felt like concrete can feel slight burn in lungs down by diaphragm my resting heart rate has been 51 bpm over the last 2 weeks I’m a bit worried is this just fatigue have I dug myself in a big hole ?all comments will be appreciated thanks

Been there, done that. At 67, I think the Build training plans progress too quickly for me, probably for you, too. Workouts like Washington +4 are just impossible for me. It may be useful to review your history looking for workouts you could complete to see if you can still do them. If you can, then maybe try other variants of Washington, maybe turning them down to 100% of FTP instead of 105%.

I have also been looking at ways I can improve my sleeping habits. I have trouble getting more than 7 hours on weeknights, so I’m continually struggling to get more.
