Such a bummer for Karoo 2 users… thread goes back a long way.

Sounds this this won’t be happening in the K2 lifetime.
It would be cool to at least open up some apis to allow someone else to make an app for the Karoo using TR workouts. I would be happy if it didn’t even have all the bells and whistles of AI, simply sync the current week of workouts.

I reached out to Hammerhead to see what they had to say and received the following response:

We certainly do have plans to include TRAINERROAD among our 3rd party integrations.
We prioritize each feature based on the number of user requests, impact on the current customer base, usability, market value, etc. Because of all these considerations, we are unable to provide an exact timeline, but rest assured that it is on our software roadmap for development.

Sounds like it might be on the “never never roadmap plan”. But maybe if y’all sent some emails too it could light a fire? A guy can only hope.

I really want to buy a Karoo 2 with the summer sale @ $259USD. It would be a nice upgrade from my v1 Bolt. Any work on workout integration @ZackeryWeimer @IvyAudrain ?
How are folks who use a Hammerhead getting TR outdoor workouts on their unit currently?

I currently use ZWO Factory to create a file that can be uploaded to the Karoo 2. It takes about 5 minutes per workout once you get the hang of it. The website is very user friendly.
I create all my outdoor workouts at once every weekend so I have them for the week.
Again, not ideal and really wish we had the same functionality as Garmin and Wahoo users. But this is something you can do if you really want the Karoo 2.

With the warmer weather now in the Uk I’m starting to think the TrainerRoad training functionality isn’t turning up anytime soon. Has anyone moved to a Garmin 840 from a Karoo 2 at all?
I’ve considered it, but the screen is so small in comparison and my near vision continues to get worse.

Yeah I can’t read the top line showing time spent riding on the Karoo! 1040 might be an option to solve that??
I don’t want to go any bigger for my head unit……
For now, I use StickTites on my glasses and that allows me to read the top line on my Karoo.
Thanks for posting about ZWO Factory! I have a power meter coming this week and was trying to figure out how to load TR workouts to my Karoo 2. This looks like a viable option for now.

Someone else suggested the training peaks workout creator which I tried last week and did find it easier to use than ZWOfactory…
