I started training in October last year having just had a baby a February prior. I was 120kgs at the time and heading on a bit of a downward spiral in terms of my health. Without doing much research, I bought a Zwift Ride and initially began on Zwift doing workouts. That being said, I found them super hard, I did a pretty awful 20min FTP test (FTP was 130ish at this point but probably undertested because I had no idea what I was doing)
Anyway TLDR: I’m now 10kgs lighter and my FTP is now 180 having followed a consistent training plan 4 x a week (60mins - 75min sessions) with only a short break for a trip to Vietnam and 1 week where I bonked and had to slow down a little (new FTP increase + 4hrs sleep a night due to baby + illness…tripple whammy)
Now in my next 30 days I’m predicted to hit 201 FTP which woild be a huge milestone for me personally and I’m losing weight in a slow but sustainable manner.
Wanted to say a huge thank you to the TR team for building such a fantastic product. The new AI engine has been a game changer and the “predicted FTP” every 30 days is just what I need to stay motivated! In addition to this - shout out to Jonathan Lee. The podcast is Amazing and the amount of value I’ve gotten from it to adjust my training and nutrition has been absolute gold - I never miss an episode on my commute to work!
There’s still a long way to go…but progress is definitely happening! ![]()
