If you do that, it will be much easier for other users to find content in the future.
This includes things like merging common or repeat topics, which is what I did here. You made no mention of searching for or finding this older topic (which happens a lot around here) so I merged it.
And even though I merged it, this topic gets “bumped” to the top of the feed for those using the “Latest” option, as well as anyone subscribed to it will be notified it got a new comment. All that makes your comment plenty visible despite being at the bottom of an older post. If people have any more recent knowledge (not already entered above) they can add it here just as easily as if I hadn’t merged posts.
