Just finished GBHV and going on to SSB1 again. Because I have a lot of time on my hands I want to do longer base miles. I still want the option to do what’s in my plan when it’s raining (which I’ll assume it’s 50% of my rides). Is it productive to mesh these two types of base styles together in one plan? What are the potential impacts to my training? My main objective is to properly bed in what I achieved in build so that I can ride longer in Zone 2/3. I have no events scheduled but I do want to tackle the Fred Whittington Challenge on a solo ride. I’ve been training with TR for just over a year.
Adding zone 2 riding to any plan can be productive for the purposes of endurance. I do zone 2 rides outside alongside low volume build and base plans.
