Maybe they should have added some swooshy lines behind the T to explicitly imply fast motion.

Typically, I think using the company initials for the logo is lazy and uncreative

but…

I like the new TR; it’s well stylized and balanced.

While I do miss the old logo, once I realized that the negative shapes outlined by the bottom of the T and R on the new logo look like interval shapes (be it intentional or not, reminds me of the taper workout Laurel), I changed my mind and am now fully on board with the new design!
