I think they share a graphics guy with a certain gas station
As posted above about run and swim plans coming, I think thatâs an amazing idea. The name already permits such a business model, and they already have a lot of tri folks on board. I for one would love a trainer road running plan, ESPECIALLY if it worked itself around the bike plans.
Anybody else seeing the old TrainerRoad logo switching off with the new one? Sometimes Iâm seeing the old logo, and sometimes the new. Feels like the new logo was prematurely released before the old logo was replaced everywhere.
Same, and if using the discourse app it will switch between the two as you scroll up/down just because of the images used by the app. It do be like that sometimes.
Edit: this isnât new, just might be more noticeable sometimes when thereâs a change
Agree with your comments @mcneese.chad. Add that the drop of the R can suggest a crank. The advantage of dropping the (very cool) cyclist of the old logo is the new opens up the perception that TR supports multiple disciplines without reducing focus on cyclists. Iâm thinking of triathletes and where the (very cool) calendar feature is going.
Also, as a sidebar, whatâs up with the info bar that shows up both on the app and the desktop? Rather annoying on the app as it obscures buttons which require clicking to advance.
I like bicycle guy. Are we losing him? Nothing wrong with the generic TR, but bicycle guy really stood out. I always wished the company would give us hats, shirts, coffee mugs, etc. with bicycle guy. I wouldnât say the same about TR.
Forgive me for not reading the entire thread if this has been mentioned, but seeing the new logo makes me think one thing: The addition of training/workouts outside of cycling.
With the old logo you assume cycling and nothing else. With new logo you question how many areas of training?
Doesnât effect me since I am a Cyclist/MTB singularly, but it is exciting to contemplate for all the Tri-Athletes! JMO
Itâs been mentioned, as being more âopen or universalâ than pure cycling. The existence of the run and swim workouts that are part of the triathlon plans, and partial coverage of things like strength training are good examples of the brand moving beyond itâs initial cycling roots.
Agreed and we all know this is where TR is headed eventually. Just makes sense to change the logo from a marketing standpoint to begin the path to redefine/rebrand TR so to speak.
