Managing Training Load Multisports

Hi everybody,

New user to TrainerRoad and I have a question on managing multisports efforts to a training plan.

The reason I transitioned to TrainerRoad was for the adaptive training and thinking that it would allow me to have the right workout while taking into account other sports and training during the winter season.

I’ve seen a couple of posts on the subject but they seem pretty dated….

I’ve build a 3 month long Road-Improving Climbing plan. I’ve completed the 4 week base training portion and I’m currently in the build phase. Last weekend I went for an 11km run (first run in 2 months) and went ski touring the next day. My plan seemed to have adapted by changing my VO2 day (Tuesday) for an endurance ride but come Tuesday and it was back to VO2 max. I still felt pretty tired in my legs but decided to give it a go. It was a bad idea… I tried my best but wasn’t able to complete the workout.

My question goes as follow: How can I make sure the platform gets the right signals so that it adapts my sessions properly? My Garmin is connected to TrainerRoad so it has the data from my run and my skiing. I’ve inputed a TSS based on what I’ve read online but was I too conservative? It’s the second time that this happen and I’m trying to figure out the best way to input signals to the platform so that it gives me good training sessions to stay productive.

Thanks in advance!
