I’ll be do a complete switch from a coach to TR after the Leadville 100. And would like to start TR with a new FTP ramp test. How long tentatively should one typically wait. And I realize everyone recovers at different rates. I’m just looking for a round about idea.
Seems like the best time to test would be when you plan on starting your next training block - which presumably will be timed based on working backwards from your next goal/season. No need to test sooner.
It took me about 2 weeks to feel recovered after Leadville - but that was just based on feel vs performance. The rest of the fall I just enjoyed riding and didn’t do a structured plan.
