Something you lot might know the answer to… what does this thing actually look like now? The pictures on the IQ2 website are nothing like the pictures on the IndieGoGo page. I assume their website is the more accurate?
It’s the pedals on their website, not the units on their crowdfunding pages. Someone explained it as you can’t change KS/IGG pages so they are way out of date with all the changes they have gone through.

Our small iQsquare team is still working hard to get you your power meters, but the global economic slowdown is affecting us. Many of our suppliers have had to take precautions and are working with less manpower than usual. Moreover, at this point it’s not as easy to foresee what the near future has in store for us with measures, lockdowns, corporate policies etc. changing the manufacturing landscape quite a bit.
On the bright side, we expect to send single-sided power meters to influencers next week.

I wonder how many testers will run oval rings since the SPD versions will end on many gravel bikes which I see more oval rings than on road bikes. Be nice if they were compatible.
you kinda have to feel bad for those guys… after endless delays (is it what like a year later than original ETA?!) and redesigning and probably a lot of other struggles, they finally seem to be ready to ship and BAM global pandemic strikes and shuts down the whole world

I can confirm as well they reached out earlier this week for my address and have it. Sounds like they’ll send them over sometime next week, assuming no technical or COVID-19 related issues arise.

Looking forward to both of your evaluations. For their sake, I hope that they hit the mark after all this time. I don’t think they have any runway if it isn’t very good off of the mark for any kind of respin. Maybe a firmware fix but any kind of hardware, PM or pedal related will sink them for good.

Why single sided?
I was wondering the same thing.
Electronics is simpler. You don’t need a master pedal to combine the 2 outputs into one. Tells a little bit about the status of the product.
I was wondering if it was easier to hide any data issues.
Assuming the data looks good once DCR has finished, I may put an order in for one of these. Though obviously I’m going to have to wait a while for the MTB / Gravel version.
