Instant DOMS anyone experienced this?

I did deadlifts today and got instant DOMS. The type of ache you get after 2 days but after only 2 hours. I hope I haven’t broken my legs. Anyone had this before. I was about at 90 percent of max and maybe didn’t warm up as long as usual…

Instant DOMS isn’t a thing (since the ‘DO’ stands for ‘Delayed Onset’). But you it sounds like you have immediate or acute muscle soreness. I occasionally have the same feeling of an almost instant burn when I work out, usually it just means I haven’t given my muscles time enough to recover from my last workout. Plus warming up makes a HUGE difference for me as I get older.

Also I’d take look at your nutrition, make sure you’re plenty hydrated, and experiment with different pre-workout nutrition.
