Improved metrics displayed in TR - feature request

Coming off the predictions thread and Nate talking about potentially showing estimated 20 and 60 minute powers it would be nice to be able to track my improvemts with all the new AI plans.

Power curves are all well and good but being able to look at the change for set intervals or conversley how long I’m at X watts would be a good way to see my improvments.

Graph is taken from my monthly maxes as an example as I’ve def had a jump in 2026. It would be good to actually have metrics instead of just ‘I feel faster’. Would also help with all the my ftp is lower and the new plans are rubbish thread. I can see improvments in what I track and I can’t be the only one who’d like some shiny graphs!

Idealy you’d have different colours for each month for easy reading but I gave up arguing with the dashboard but you get the idea!

It seems like you are asssuming all training would improve 20 or 60 min power - Are you a timetriallist? Will you have actual 20/60 min efforts in a month? Or are you think of these as proxies for fitness?

I’m keen on 60 min power as a standard distance triathlete, I’ll be training with that specificity in plan.

I’m not a time trailist, I was only mentioning 20 and 60 min estimates as that was what had been mentioned elsewhere!

My logging of max powers covers 1s, 30s, 60s, 5m, 20m, 60m and 90m, wide enough that I can see improvments if they happen. Essentially I think having a range of powers (and time at X watts) were I could see just how that interval improves alongside FTP. They feel like a good easily understandable proxy for overall fitness.

Ah right, yes on a wider range of power curve improvements that would make sense in showing where you are better able to express performance.

Where FTP/MLSS is very different to power/duration though, is that it is to a great degree showing your physiological fitness, so I would not use the power curve that way, I’d stick with FTP.
