Iā€™ve started dual recording with a Garmin Edge to remove Strava reliance. Itā€™s an additional faff I could do without so hereā€™s another +1 for this feature.

Iā€™d still record with my Garmin, while I donā€™t follow the advice and metrics that my 1040 gives, It would bother me to not have it base itā€™s assessment on the full data set :rofl: :rofl:

Better solution would be for TrainerRoad to build an API that 3rd party services could call to sync to TR. Since TR is the data producer, better for other companies to do the leg work to integrate into TR to get your data with your approval, instead of TR spending time integrating with every 3rd party service out there.

Iā€™ve been using the Dropbox method for a long time already - works flawless and sync is super fast. Sorry to all the +1ā€™s but not sure if I want TR to spend its scarce resources on this while a working solution exists that only takes 5 minutes to setup and has the additional benefit of having a separate backup of all your TR rides.

Itā€™s imperative this is being worked on since according to David at ICU Strava sync to become a paid feature - Announcements - Intervals.icu Forum

Intervals.icu has exhausted itā€™s Strava API rate limit every day for the last week and Strava are no longer increasing rate limits. This means that I have to make downloading activities from Strava a premium feature to reduce the number of calls to the Strava API. This will happen later this week. Future new users and current free users will be able download from Strava for a few weeks after which time a subscription will be required.

Any sign of this on the roadmap now? From an IT side, it shouldnā€™t be a massive project unless I am missing something.
