Same here, TrainerRoad seems to let go of the Bluetooth connection way too easily.
Mine wasn’t dropping the connection (at least I don’t think it was). The app showed it was connected to the heart rate monitor the entire ride.
With yesterday’s workout on my new iPhone SE, the TrainerRoad Beta app (latest version) kept stopping the music completely from Spotify on every interval transition. This doesn’t happen consistently for the workouts, but it was the second workout where it happened. Imagine the cognitive load of having your music stopped as you just start a new VO2 max interval
!
In order to stop the TrainerRoad app from halting the Spotify music stream, I had to turn off two settings: Interval sounds and Instructional text sounds. That allowed me to power through without the constant interruptions to the music.
Thanks to everyone for all the feedback. Please keep it coming!
We made some small improvements this round that should be helpful. We’re still tackling the issue list, including many of those mentioned since the last release (HRM drops, specific device issues, remembering selections, etc) and are working hard on getting ANT+ functioning. I’ll try to have another release out with the next batches of fixes soon. ![]()
In this version we have made the following fixes or improvements
• Fixed the Today Card for Outside Workouts
• Fixed a problem where some activities showed a start time of 12:00
• Cleaned up the Live FTP for Ramp Tests
• Made Header buttons easier to touch
My wife (not active here in forum) noted the same with the Apple Podcasts app using Air Pods Pro.
Yes. On my original IPad Air, the beta crashes reliably. Ive submitted a bug report.
I’ve run the new version once on my iPad Air and Kickr and no issues today. The prior 3 workouts on the prior version and Kickr all good as well.
So it’s been good for me for a week.
I had the synch flag was on during my ride. I went out and restarted the app and the same message appear. What does hang tight mean? Keep riding? Wait until the message ends?
On my ride today, I tried split screen on my iPad with TR and YouTube app to watch the TR podcast. It froze the TR app. Couldn’t get it to work so eventually closed YouTube and did Spotify split screen to listen. That worked fine. Not sure why the YouTube would cause the freeze when Spotify didn’t.
Otherwise another trouble free ride for me.
I still can’t get the wahoo tickr to work on the iphone. On the device screen it says connected, but won’t provide HR data, if I open the device, it says it’s not connected.
I’m also experence some disconnections during the ride. It will pop with the pause screen, then go back to the workout, then pop up again. It seems somewhat random.
Yes, same here, I have persistent connectivity issues with my Wahoo Tickr. I’m on the latest version (2020.36.091929-beta).
Noticed favorites in the workouts area isn’t pulling my stuff in
At about 1:45:00 of my 3 Hr Endurance ride today, HR flat lined at 134 bpm. I tried disconnecting the sensor in app and also disconnecting it from the phone via the bluetooth page in settings. Every time it came back at 134bpm .
You must be due a month off ![]()
I believe favorites has always been stored per-device, so there isn’t a anything to import.
