Early Access to Android Beta - Updated TrainerRoad

I left the beta, uninstalled, waited an hour or two, rejoined and got version 2020.3.0.92026 (an older version than I had when I was in the original beta).

Update: Version 2020.36.0.92041 was installed automatically overnight.

yes, I saw that version to when I looked at the version nr in the playstore…

i talked a bit with support, but want to share my Ramp Test Result here too:

It’s a pleasure to report that the ramp test on the Android tablet (Galaxy S4) worked really well.

Although I used Vector 3 with new Powermatch via BLT, I got the same result (- 1 watt) as in the last ramp test on 01/04/21 where I did the ramp test with the WIN10 app and Vector 3 via ANT + with the new Powermatch have used.

Great, only the live FTP display at the end caused me slight problems, because you have to decide whether you want to see the workout graphic or all the metrics without the workout graphic, maybe it could improved, if possible, so that you can use the live FTP to see always on or so?

@newest Android Update:
haven’t arrived on normal ways since it’s a official Beta on Samsung Galaxy S4 and Samsung M21

I left the beta, rejoined and it downloaded a older version but the a while later updated to the 2020.36.0.92041 version.

In the calender I am only able to see the Variants tab on the endurance workouts and not all of them.

Also see the attached picture

It incorrectly labels Fridays workout as Spanish Needle -3, however the image is of Spanish Needle-1 and when you select it, it correctly shows Spanish Needle -1

Thanks again to everyone for the feedback, and welcome to the new testers.

Unfortunately, we were unable to bring over our previous group of Beta Testers that have opted into the program in the past. The newest version of the play store requires a new way to join. and that is all directly from the links supplied below.

Here’s a quick rundown of what was in this latest release.

    •	Fixed a problem where workout Variants are showing up correctly.
•	Fixed a problem where the Ramp Test could end with a black screen
•	Fixed a problem where hub based power meters weren't showing speed in ANT+
•	Custom Plan Builder blocks should show the correct volume now
•	Added the Outside TR Icon to the Workout Cards

Just upgraded to new version and did a search for Charlotte (after reading the sandwich thread)… oddly the results came up with it twice.

You can click into both results and they appear to be the same apart from one having an inside tab at the top right.

Am I missing something here? Outside version?

I still don’t see this version, I clicked the beta program link, no result, uninstalled and installed via the link, but I only see 2020.36.092038 (in mobile playstore and version in app, and *26 on the desktop playstore link).

should this older info help?:

Uninstalled old Beta and reinstalled… still no miles pushed to Strava :sleepy:

I took a quick look at your logs and it looks like you’re still on an older version. :frowning:

As Pete has mentioned above, we’ve had some trouble getting existing beta athletes onto the new “open” beta.

It may be worth trying out one of the links he posted here to see if you’re able to get on the newest version which should hopefully allow you to get speed data from your PowerTab Hub.

I dont know if I should comment here or email support, but twice today during Spanish Needle -1 when the 15 second interval ended the power never decreased. I had to stop and pause it for the power to drop in the recovery. I also had the same issue after the 2nd sprint in Collins +1 the other day

Seemed ti work pretty good except for completion screen. It kept spinning . It did upload ride detail to Training Peaks and Strava. attached screen shot

Just installed beta version 2020.36.92043 from Google Play…

Hi Geoff,
I’m still stuck on 92038.
I’ve uninstalled it, cleared data, come off beta, rejoined beta, re installed from links above but no joy getting the updated version.
Any ideas?

Using Samsung Galaxy Tab A7, held in Tacx Tablet Holder in Landscape.

Problem. When starting the app the TrainerRoad logo is on a red background in Landscape mode but once the app opens it returns to portrait mode for the calendar screen.
Once starting a workout it going to Landscape mode…
I can make the app go to Landscape by taking the tablet out of the holder and turning it 90° and back…
But don’t want to do this as previous non beta worked fine.
White bars are visible too in both portrait and landscape modes

@Aquazepp

I removed you from the Closed Beta completely, that should disable you from seeing the 92038 version. You maybe have to do all the above steps one more time, but it should work this time :crossed_fingers:

Thanks again Pete… version 92043 installed :slightly_smiling_face:

Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 - Latest Updates

Did a ramp test earlier. No issues during test, but had to select in portrait mode as in landscape mode the Load Workout button is hidden behind the White Bar.

I’m also stuck on the old version, have tried connecting through both links above and on both devices I have the app on but I just get shown the old version.

Using a Pixel 4a.
Tried to build plan. Got to the scheduler and couldn’t drag and drop the day plans (e.g. wanted to move Tuesdays’ scheduled workouts to Mondays).

Confirmed on v…43. First start it crashed again before getting into the calendar. Probably on the “finishing install xx%” screen, but I was putting my shoes on and came back to the crash message. Restarted and this time it started ok. Seems odd the install progress message appears at all on subsequent starts? Anyway, it crashes on startup a lot for me (lenovo tab4 10").

App still likes to flip out of landscape to portrait mode, especially after completing a workout.

Speaking of finishing a workout, today’s completed workout shows as the generic workout image on the calendar. It wasnt scheduled, I did the “find workout” flow to start it.
