Seems to work on lots of stuff including garmin…
What does slacker geometry and a higher BB change the way a bike handles? Ie theoretically how would it compare to the Revolt?
Thanks.
I guess a lower bottom bracket would make a bike more stable. I don’t know how it compared to the Revolt
I have a lauf true grit and like it a lot. Like anything, some people are probably more in tune or sensitive to differences like bottom bracket height. I assume one’s riding style can factor in too.
Correct. IIRC, the Laufs are almost a full CM higher than a Revolt (maybe more?)….it would have a substantial impact on a bike’s stability. At least for me.
Good pedal clearance if you’re riding lots of rock gardens
We should probably consider moving this into the Gravel bike geo discussion (topic 1, topic 2), but for quick comparison:
Compare: 2022 Lauf Cycling Seigla Ultimate Medium vs 2022 Giant Bicycles Revolt 0 ML - Bike Insights,
There is much more to a bike than any single dimension, but broadly speaking (and for comparing bikes that are nearly equal in all other dimensions) lower BB height gives some more “stability” and less “tippy” feeling.
It will also corner a bit better with the lower center of mass, which is why lower BB and shorter cranks are taking hold in MTB specifically. Of note, this matters more with high load on the cranks as in an outside pedal weighted corner, or when standing on the pedals (little if any weight on the saddle).
@mcneese.chad thanks! I use this site extensively when comparing bikes and have all of the ones I’m looking at in my “collection.”
Yup, I’ve seen your posts and such. I was mainly addressing this post/question.
Thanks!
If anyone’s in the market for a Ti bike, Lynskey has some killer deals. 25% off framesets and good deals on full builds.
GR300 internally routed frameset is $1275. I paid close to $2200 for the same thing during covid

That’s a 5% code for Nextie I got last week.
Not 100% sure how long it’s valid for. I didn’t use it as it didn’t move the needle quite enough.
If you email EIE they are pretty keen to do deals, not a code to use, just sharpens the price quite a lot.
Light and Motion Seca lights 50% off (likely clearing space for the next model)
I have the Enduro and boy howdy does it light up the trail/road
Good deal.
I was shopping lights recently and couldn’t justify the Seca Comp over the Lezyne Macro Drive 1300XXL. Low cost and great runtimes at good lumens. You can get bigger lumens in a light but run times are going to be a lot shorter unless you go with a separate battery pack.
I love the Vya Pro from L&M… but though they’re not necessarily on sale right now, I’m a huge fan of Outbound Lighting. Best lights I’ve ever used, and ever seen on any bike. And not terribly expensive: their “Detour” light for road bikes is just $179. I have the prior model and wouldn’t trade if for any other light.
I seriously considered them, but the battery life doesn’t live up to the claims according to several reviews and my brother. Battery life was a key driver for me. And I don’t count battery life once the lumens have dropped intensity, which many companies do. Watch out for that.
My n=1 is different to your brother’s. But we each make our own choices, and also maybe we have different lights. Who knows…
50% off!!! Wow.
I have the Lezyne. It does have great battery life. The best feature is being able to hit one button and go from low to high and back without scrolling thru the 5 stages.
For racers in the US, code “BCGR23” gets $25 off USAC licenses. Just used it on my renewal.
