I suppose that’s where i go wrong. I should just wear it when riding 
I wish RoadID was doing a better job of outreach to First Responders and ER teams to alert them to thier existence. I know of a couple of cases with people having a RoadID and nobody noticing it and it taking hours to ID the people.
To that end, I opt for bright colors for my silicone band version and also have a Medical Alert “badge” added to it.
This is a really good point. I’m pretty minimalist so I went with the all black and technically women’s style band because it’s slimmer. Would be pretty easy for first responders to miss.

Even though it looks like a good deal remember these were discounted a couple of months ago when the 1030 plus was about to be launched. I personally would not buy this computer, not even at that price.
We’ve never seen a Garmin Edge 10xx series at $299 to my knowledge. The Edge 1030 at $299 is incredible, especially given how many features have been added to it, and a chunk of the Edge 1030 Plus features have been added (and even other new features since, like revamped structured workout interface).
That said, the deal is deal for now.

Rats, I haven’t loved my 820 and was thinking of swapping it out for the 1030. Maybe with some luck it will go back to the $299 one more time.
I JUST got it. Was hitting refresh every 5 mins for an hour, but it happened.
Not too go off topic but once you’ve tried the new one that 1030 feels laggy. Granted it’s twice the price. With that said the 830 feels snappier, so that’s where my money would go. But yes 300 is the best deal I’ve seen, I got confused with the CAD.
Yay! I will keep doing the same, I am at my desk for another few hours so no problem to hit F5 and check.
Edit: alright, it popped up for me at the $299 price point. I figure between free returns or unloading my 820, it’s worth it. The battery life is the big point, the 820 has been pretty abysmal, especially if you have any navigation.
