Deals / Sales / Discounts for Cycling "Stuff" (2018-2022)

Hammer Nutrition Labor Day Weekend Sale. Not everything is discounted, but I grabbed some vegan Recoverite because Strawberry was crazy discount (80%?) and other vegan flavors were 50% off. Enough for this non-vegan to give it a try.

BikeTiresDirect has a bunch of stuff on sale (Conti, PI, Castelli, Shimano, Lake Shoes, etc.)

$80. Free shipping for Plus members.

Well, not as great a deal as I thought. The thread showing performance for models has this with one of the lowest CFM of those out there.

So weird…every Friday I go to the local donut shop and grab a dozen for the family’s weekend. This week they had the Lasko fan going, we chatted about it and said I could get it at Sam’s Club.

This is good for a single use.

Do you have one?

Road id? I bought one. It was the one that goes on my garmin watch. I wouldn’t go that route again. I would get the stand alone bright colored bracelet with it. I worry that it isn’t visible enough on my watch and the material that it uses to attach to the watch captures all the sweat and gets really smelly, really quickly. I find that I don’t even use it anymore.

Yes roadid. I always thought about one but sometimes I am not completely sold on it. The ultra one with the clasp looks good but wondering if that clasp wound be annoying.

I have one with a stretch silicone wrist band, no clasp. I didn’t want to pay extra for something that I expect would bug my wrist :slightly_smiling_face:

Thanks. Looking at one of the stretch ones as I am good with that style.

I use an expired driver’s license with a small sticky note on it with phone numbers of all of my ICE contacts. Sounds more complicated that it is but it sits in my bike bag and it’s always with me. Just another option to consider if you are a tight ass DIY’er like me

I always carry my license and insurance card anyway. Doubt I will order as I am not sure I want something else on my wrist.

I got the one with the clasp. It’s perfectly fine…until you sit at a computer.
Then it becomes a pain.
I might just order a rubber bracelet and move the tag over :expressionless:

I wear the clasped one with no problems at all. You can cut it to whatever size you want. I wear it loose. I also only wear it when riding.

I would absolutely not expect anyone to find a drivers license in a saddle bag. They’re going to get you in the ambulance as fast as possible, not search your bike.

The point of these is you can put your EC and medical information on the bracelet. When you get one you can opt into an electronic database for medical information that emergency personnel can access using the web address on the bracelet. Allergies and stuff like that. I think you can identify donor as well but it’s been a long time since I looked at it. I bought one way back mostly for peace of mind and only wear it when I’m on a run or ride so i don’t have to worry about it bothering me day-to-day.

EDIT: they also have a special edition TdF Version right now if that’s something you’re interested in

I have the velcro band one and love it. It’s lightweight and I never notice it while I’m riding. I almost always ride alone so it’s nice to know that if someone finds me in the gutter then they at least know my name, emergency contacts, and that I have NKA (no known allergies).

I also have one on my garmin watch that I just leave there all the time and for runs.

I have the wrist one with clasp and had it for years. I’m pretty sensitive to stuff on my wrist and my Garmin Fenix 5 starts to bother me after a few hours of trail riding, but the RoadID name I never notice. Just sort of disappears in the background until I take it off post ride.
