Cycling Memes and Jokes

Believe it or not, my doc asked that question once: ‘How much weight do you lose after pooping?’ And why do you want to know? Are you getting at something? Should I be concerned about me? OR YOU?!?! :man_facepalming:

And my dad called up once and said that he just lost 5 pounds. I suggested Metamucil and doing it more often. More water wouldn’t hurt either… But he was almost 80 at the time, and any call from him was a good thing, mostly… Mom was already gone so he couldn’t tell her. As I’ve gotten older I can see where he was coming from, certain things take on new meaning as we age.

I don’t get the joke… that’s the right answer. :man_shrugging:

The exact answer is 3.988 W/kg, so rounding to 3.99 makes sense. If you want 3.995 so it rounds to 4.00, you need to lose 0.277 pounds.

Yet I’m still stunned at the number of people I see riding without a helmet, or are wearing it wrong. It’s not epidemic like decades ago, but… And old helmets, and even crashed helmets.

But there are people who refuse to wear seat belts, and the list of self preservation things people can do is long. There is no lifeguard at the gene pool, and you can’t legislate common sense, or beauty, but people dying from preventable causes like not wearing a helmet is tragique. (EMT’s and ER docs are already so over the number of motorcycle riders they have to scrape up and the brain matter they see oozing all over the place. But to think that the ‘cup’ came before the helmet is just darkly hysterical.

I’m glad to see @dcrainmaker understands the relative risks well :slightly_smiling_face:

I had a friend die in a bathroom. Yep, those tile floors and towels strewn everywhere. We all accept a level of risk in everything we do. I just found that image funny, from a male hooman side of things.

it’s still 30% which is 30% more than it was in January.

Actually 38%, because the prior 8% tariff (with deminimus exception) has been in place since before 2020. So the 30% stacks on top of existing & there are some products that are higher.

When the domestique takes the leaders jersey. Yes I know there’s a lot of racing still to be done (that’s why I’m posting now).
