And no one reads them anyway, right…
@Justafatguy oh, that’s the best one I’ve seen in a very long time!!! Your creation?! Or found?
Someone sent me the same thing for bass guitars… I have more than one problem
A man after my own heart
This belongs over in the unpopular opinions thread.
Don’t remind me of my camera gear.
Apparently the yoots have now cancelled ankle socks… Joke’s on them, I never went to ankle socks… Literally had a fight with my better half about being ungrateful over being gifted a whole pack of something I’d said I didn’t want and wouldn’t wear… no-show ankle socks from that charity sock company. So the yooths are telling the generations I straddle that I was right all along… I’m not sure how I feel about that.
One of my favourite films
Enough bikes?
There’s obviously a bug in the firmware of this device, because that does not compute.
My scuba gear…
I did go to the LBS and when I walked in, someone said ‘Your wife called. Said you have been spending too much money and time here!’. I must have had a look, because they all started laughing hysterically. One: It was something my wife could do, two: I had spent a bit of time there researching new bikes. I said something like ‘well if you let people’s spouses control their shopping here, you probably wouldn’t be in business for long’, and they took a more serious look. Hah!!
But ‘N + 1’…
Very very true. See, we are helping the local economy…
I had my wallet out and was ready for pain!
Discount sewing machines
I’m looking for a serger and something that can do embroidery. I made several jackets and other items in the 80’s. I had a Singer sewing machine likely older than I was, and it worked pretty well. It skipped stitches, but I could get the job done. I tried a newer Singer machine, and it was pretty much junk. Sad… I mean the Singer I had was like a Campy groupo of the time. Elegant, heavy, so capable. I was smeared by people saying that I’d ‘make someone a good wife’.
You either learn to fix things, and possibly make things, or you pay someone else to fix it, or buy crap from China/India/Whatever.
I made a carry bag for my Park Tools work stand, and a jacket with tons of cycling patches on it, and other stuff. Get a sewing machine, learn to make things, learn to FIX things…
