I’m following a strict polarised approach with my nutrition, only the 20% is ABV.
Being 6’ 3” it’s amazing how many people want to ride my wheel ![]()
No thanks, Ill sit behind the 5’2" 120 skeleton of a man and work for my watts
Lol, I’m a bit taller at 5’9" but get a lot of comments that I’m too skinny to draft a lot of people seem to want it though ![]()
My brother is 5’8 but being a former wrestler, he is built like a gorilla. The difference between pulling and sitting on his wheel at the same speed is 210W vs 135W. It’s so choice!
I feel attacked.
Typical cyclist acting like it’s the bike’s fault.
One of my teammates is 180cm, 95kg, and I swear, doesn’t give ANY draft whatsoever. He’s just that slippery. It’s hilarious in races, watching people fight to get onto his wheel, then get peeled off as they realise there’s just no point! He makes a joke of it too, sitting up to give a draft, then getting aero and watching the carnage.
Another one of my teammates, who is a bit shorter, is the best draft in the peloton. You almost have to brake sitting on his wheel. (Yes, he’s my last leadout man).
That’s impressive! I’ve been learning to get more aero by doing harder efforts in my drops. I race mostly Gravel and CX, so not too many team tactics. I don’t mind people riding my wheel but if they don’t let me out of the front, be ready for me to slow down ![]()
I use that gif on him all the time ![]()

Instagram @trmemes.good is a gold mine
Clearly he has a serious problem. They all have disasters like this. Some more than others. Remco looks like on the unlucky side or needs a better team around him. QS does not look like a tight enough ship for 3 week races.
A few threads in the forum mention us cyclists being too focused on minutiae, for marginal gains. Now, let’s layer in being a software developer (I used to do that for a living, so I’m calling myself out on this as well) and up the stakes.
Just saw this on Hacker News and came to post it. This is peak party pace and sounds good once he can get his on-bike setup to solve that last step.
