Coming back from illness - skip/delay recovery week?

The week of February 2, I came down with a cold. Took that week off, started testing the waters on the 12th and 15th with short rides, and finally by the 21st was able to do a hard day. This week I’ve hit my marks for both hard days. Next week is slated for a recovery week with all endurance days, but I’ve only put 3 hard days in since my illness. Should I make it a regular week with two hard days? I’m on a masters balanced plan, with recovery week every 4th week.

You’re probably okay to shift your calendar away from the original plan, though I’d be cautious and pay close attention to how you feel and motivation to do hard workouts.

@McFly it’s up to you :slight_smile: But if you want to be on the safe side, I would probably keep the Recovery Week and hit the next block of training stronger.
